Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

About work: Ink on paper, photoshop editing. Created for a scientific presentation, this illustration depicts the patterns of locoregional symptomatology of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. A patient with undiagnosed nasopharyngeal carcinoma may present to the Otolaryngologist complaining of problems relating to the ears, cranial nerves, and/or neck, but not necessarily limited to the nose. Thus, nasopharyngeal carcinoma is often diagnosed at a late stage of disease progression. The illustration accompanies an excellent scientific presentation designed to help physicians understand how to more effectively diagnose this disease, in an effort to improve patient outcomes.
